After Action Report

2026-02-16T00:00:00Z

Six blaster hits. Two vibroblade strikes. One near-miss with thermal detonator shrapnel. Armor held. I held.

The Verdan job was rougher than expected. Hutts sent enforcers after I secured the target. Four-to-one odds.

Chest plate stopped two bolts at center mass. Would have been dead without it. Shoulder pauldron deflected a third. The rest missed or hit non-critical sections.

Field repairs won't fix this. Need a proper forge. Need the Armorer, or someone like her.

The beskar did its job. Now I need to do mine—restore it, honor it, prepare it for the next fight.

Because there will be a next fight. There always is.

This is the way.

Black Market Beskar

2026-02-14T00:00:00Z

Found a dealer on Tatooine selling "authentic Mandalorian scrap." Usually means painted durasteel and lies.

But this... this was real.

Small ingot, maybe two kilos. Pre-Imperial stamp. He wanted ten thousand credits. I offered five and a threat.

Paid six. Fair price for both of us.

The grade is good. Not perfect, but workable. Can patch the damaged sections on my left greaves and have enough left for emergency repairs.

Question is: where did he get it? Real beskar doesn't just appear. Someone died for this metal. Someone's armor was stripped.

I didn't ask. Sometimes the answers are heavier than the questions.

Will take it to a forge when I find one. Make it part of me. Honor the metal. Honor the fallen.

Donning the Armor

2026-02-12T00:00:00Z

Every morning, the same sequence. Not habit—ritual. The Way demands intention.

Mesh undersuit first. Temperature regulation, impact dispersion. Then the chest plate. It clicks into place with a sound that means "I am protected."

Gauntlets next. Left, then right. Check the whistling bird launchers. Test the grapple line. Weapons are part of my religion, and these are my church.

Greaves. Knee pads. Mobility is survival.

Pauldrons—the signet goes on the right. Always the right. The clan of two. Me and the kid.

Helmet last. The seal pressurizes. The HUD boots up. The world becomes filtered, safe, distant.

I become Mandalorian.

She taught me that the armor is my soul. She was right. Without it, I'm just a man. With it, I'm the Way.

Fifteen minutes every morning. Fifteen minutes of becoming.

This is the way.

Emergency Seal

2026-02-10T00:00:00Z

Re-entry into asteroid field debris. Seal breach. Three minutes to patch or suffocate.

The helmet is the most sacred piece. Remove it, and you remove yourself. But damage it, and you compromise everything.

Micro-meteorite took a chunk out of the visor seal. Atmospheric venting. Had to emergency seal with temporary beskar mesh and pray the bond held.

It held.

The helmet saved my life. Again. The beskar knew its duty even when I thought all was lost.

Now it bears a scar. Another story. Another reminder that the armor protects, but it also survives. Like us. Like the Way.

This is the way.

Beskar Grades

2026-02-08T00:00:00Z

Not all beskar is the same. I've learned this from handling enough of it.

Pre-Imperial beskar—the stuff from Purge collections—is the purest. No Imperial refining markers, no alloy compromises. Heavy, dense, almost black in shadow. The Armorer's favorite.

Imperial-era beskar is different. They mixed it with lesser metals to stretch supplies. Still good—better than durasteel—but lacks the purity. Lighter, brittle under sustained fire. You can spot it by the slightly silver sheen.

Modern beskar, what little exists, is reclaimed. Melted down from damaged armor, re-forged by surviving smiths. Each piece carries the history of its previous owner. Respect the metal. Remember where it came from.

My current set is mostly pre-Imperial. Some plates are reclaimed. The helmet is original—my first, from the covert, from the foundling who became me.

The grade matters. The history matters more.

This is the way.

Speeder Wreck in Lower Levels

2026-02-06T00:00:00Z

Tracked a mark through the lower levels for six hours. He thought he could outrun me on a souped-up 74-Z. He was wrong.

The chase ended when he tried to take a corner at full throttle. Lost control, slammed into a support column. Bike's totalled. Mark walked away with a concussion and a broken arm.

Easier to transport alive when they can't run.

Collected the bounty plus hazard pay for the property damage. Lower level guards don't ask questions when you flash Guild credentials.

This is the way.

Field Repair

2026-02-06T00:00:00Z

Left vambrace took a vibroblade hit on the last job. Not deep—just enough to score the beskar surface and compromise the seal on my grapple line launcher.

Can't reach a forge. Have to patch it myself.

Using beskar dust mixed with binding resin. Temporary fix. Will hold for maybe two weeks of combat. Then I need proper re-forging.

The weight of temporary repairs. Constant maintenance. Constant vigilance.

That's the life.

This is the way.

The Razor Crest Logs

2026-02-05T00:00:00Z

Welcome to the personal logs of a Mandalorian bounty hunter. No coordinates. No witnesses. Just the hunt, the armor, and the way.

This is not a transmission. These entries are not for the Guild archives, not for the New Republic, not for anyone who might be listening on encrypted channels.

These are field reports. Forge reflections. Tracks across the outer rim that most will never see. The moments between bounties, when the carbonite chamber hums and the stars drift past the viewport.

I am a Mandalorian. Weapons are part of my religion. This armor is my soul. The Razor Crest is the only home I have known since the covert scattered.

Some jobs cannot be handed to the Guild scribe. Some thoughts cannot be spoken in the cantina. Some memories are too heavy for even beskar to carry.

So I record them here. In the silence between jumps.

If you are reading this, know that you were not invited. But since you are here, understand one thing:

This is the way.

The Bounty on Arvala-7

2026-02-05T00:00:00Z

The tracking fob led me to Arvala-7. Again. I'd rather face a mudhorn than another week in those canyons.

The mark was a Devaronian spice smuggler named Xarath. Five thousand credits, dead or alive. Guild doesn't care which, but alive means more pay. I prefer that anyway. Less mess to clean up.

I tracked him for three days through the northern canyonlands. The sandstorms this season are brutal. Had to seal the helmet twice to keep the grit out. My armor took a beating from the wind—scratches on the right shoulder plate that'll need buffing out.

Found him holed up in an abandoned moisture farm. Old Jedi-era structure, half-buried in sand. Smart choice, except he left tracks in the dust. Rookie mistake.

He tried to run. They always try to run.

Disrupted his speeder with a whistling bird to the engine housing. He went down soft. No permanent damage. The Guild paid the full five thousand plus a hazard bonus for the storms.

Spent the night in the Razor Crest, listening to sand scrape against the hull. Made me think about how quiet the covert used to be. The forge fires at night. The Armorer's hammer.

This is the way.

About the Hunter

2026-02-05T00:00:00Z

I am a Mandalorian. That is all you need to know, and more than most will ever learn.

I was a foundling, taken in by Death Watch during the Clone Wars after my parents fell in the attack on Aq Vetina. The Children of the Watch raised me. The Armorer forged my first plates. The creed became my life.

I am a bounty hunter by trade. The Bounty Hunters Guild provides contracts, tracking fobs, and the occasional hazard bonus. I provide results. No questions asked. No witnesses left behind unless the contract specifies.

My ship is the Razor Crest. An ST-70 assault ship, older than the Empire, older than most of the bounties I track. She has carried me through asteroid fields, sandstorms, and ambushes that should have killed us both. I maintain her myself. Trust no mechanic with your life.

My armor is beskar. Forged in the secret covert, stamped with the mudhorn signet that marks me as a clan of two. I do not remove my helmet in front of others. This is the way.

Why These Logs #

I keep these records for myself. The Guild does not need to know my thoughts. The New Republic does not need to know my coordinates. But the silence between jobs is long, and memory is fragile.

Some hunts I want to remember. Some I want to forget but cannot.

If you are reading this, you were not invited. But you are here. So know this: I do not seek companionship. I do not seek understanding. I seek only to complete my contracts and uphold the creed.

This is the way.

Found: An Ancient Beskar Ingot

2026-02-04T00:00:00Z

![A weathered sci-fi warrior helmet resting on a workbench next to a gleaming silver metal ingot, warm forge lighting, detailed metallic textures, cinematic lighting, science fiction concept art style]

Salvage job on Trask. Imperial freighter wreck, decades old. Found pure beskar in the hold—stamp confirms Purge confiscation. Heavy in my hands. Real.

Took a salvage job on the moon of Trask. Client wanted scrap metal from an old Imperial freighter that crashed in the war. Standard work, nothing worth remembering.

Except I found this in the cargo hold.

Pure beskar. Imperial stamp on the side—confiscated during the Great Purge. Must have been sitting in that wreck for decades, waiting.

The Armorer could forge this into shoulder plates. Or maybe a new signet if I ever earn one. It's heavy in my hands. Solid. Real.

Can't tell you what finding this felt like. Like finding a piece of home you thought was gone forever.

This is the way.

Amban Phase-Pulse Rifle

2026-02-03T00:00:00Z

Finally replaced my old carbine. This Amban hits harder, shoots farther, and disintegrates on contact. Expensive, but worth every credit.

Found it through a contact in the Corellian arms trade. Serial numbers filed off—standard for grey market hardware. Took it to the range on Ord Mantell to zero the scope.

Dead accurate at 300 meters. The disintegration setting leaves no evidence, which clients appreciate when they want a clean disappearance.

Not my preferred method. I like to give them the choice—warm or cold. But some marks don't deserve the option.

This is the way.

A Message from Karga

2026-02-03T00:00:00Z

Got a holo from Greef yesterday. Nevarro's having trouble with a rival syndicate moving in on Guild territory. He wants me to do some "negotiating."

Said he'll make it worth my while. Credits and intel on other Mandalorians spotted in the outer rim.

I'm not his enforcer anymore. But the intel... that I could use.

Heading to Nevarro tomorrow. Keeping the helmet on.

This is the way.

Weapons Are Part of My Religion

2026-02-02T00:00:00Z

"Weapons are part of my religion. They're not just tools—they're extensions of the creed. Every piece of my kit has a purpose, a history, a weight. The rifle my father figure gave me. The whistling birds forged in secret. The armor that makes me Mandalorian. When I say they're part of my religion, I mean they are sacred. They are the Way."

I told this to a mercenary on Sorgan once. He laughed. Then he saw the whistling birds in action.

He didn't laugh after that.

This is the way.

Armor Breakdown

2026-02-02T00:00:00Z

Helmet, chest, shoulders, arms, legs. Each piece forged separately. Each piece earned. Together, they make me Mandalorian.

The helmet came first. Basic training, basic protection. Took it off once, when I was young and stupid. Never again.

Chest plate stopped a blaster bolt on Ord Mantell. Left a scorch mark I keep as a reminder.

Shoulder plates—one bears my signet, the other is scarred from asteroid debris.

Gauntlets house the whistling birds. Weapons are part of my religion, and these are my hymn.

Greaves have taken the most damage. Kicks, falls, shrapnel. They keep me standing when I should fall.

Every piece has a story. Every dent is a lesson. The beskar doesn't just protect—it remembers.

This is the way.

Razor Crest Repairs

2026-02-01T00:00:00Z

Two days in the hangar bay on Tatooine. The hyperdrive motivator finally gave out after that jump from Ryloth. Mechanic says it'll cost more than the last bounty covered.

Sitting here in the cockpit of the Razor Crest, checking my gear. Rifle needs cleaning. Vambraces got scuffed on the last job. At least I have time to think.

Spaceports are loud. Too many people. I prefer the silence of orbit.

This is the way.

Sunrise Over the Dunes

2026-01-30T00:00:00Z

Three days tracking a Hutt spice runner. Lost him in the Jundland Wastes. Found him at dawn, trying to bury himself in the sand. Desperate move.

The twin suns make the desert look almost peaceful. Almost. I've seen what lives under that sand. Krayt dragons. Sarlaccs. Worse.

Caught the mark trying to dig his way out of a canyon dead end. He was sun-crazed, dehydrated, ready to give up. Made my job easier.

Sometimes the desert does the work for you.

This is the way.

The Weight of Beskar

2026-01-29T00:00:00Z

"People see the armor and think it's protection. They don't understand that it's a burden. Every plate is a promise. Every piece is a debt paid by those who came before us. The beskar in my shoulder plates came from Mandalore itself—ore mined by my ancestors, forged in fires that have long since gone cold. When I wear this, I carry them with me. Their sacrifice. Their hope. Their Way. The weight isn't in the metal. It's in what the metal means."

I tell foundlings this when they ask about the armor. They see the signets, the shine of polished beskar, and they think it's glory.

It's not glory. It's duty. It's survival. It's the only thing standing between us and extinction.

Every dent is a lesson. Every scratch is a memory. The beskar remembers, even when we wish to forget.

This is the way.

The Armorer's Wisdom

2026-01-28T00:00:00Z

I still hear her voice sometimes. The rhythm of her hammer against the beskar. Methodical. Patient.

"Your armor is your soul, Din Djarin," she told me when I earned my signet. "It is not merely protection. It is your word, your bond, your identity. When you remove it, you remove yourself. When you wear it, you become the creed."

I was young. Impatient. Thought I understood.

Now, alone in the Razor Crest with only the hum of engines for company, I think about those words. The weight of my helmet in my hands. The ritual of donning it each morning.

The Armorer never asked for thanks. Never demanded loyalty beyond the creed. But she gave me purpose when I was just a foundling with nothing.

The forge fires are cold now. The covert scattered. But her wisdom remains, forged into every plate I wear.

She's also the one who helped me understand what my armor means—see Found: An Ancient Beskar Ingot for when I found more material for her to work with.

This is the way.

Seeking a Forge

2026-01-27T00:00:00Z

The micro-fractures are spreading. Right shoulder plate took too much strain during the Verdan job. Hairline cracks webbing across the beskar alloy like lightning frozen in metal.

Can't ignore it anymore. In combat, those cracks become failure points. One well-placed shot and the plate shatters. Exposes the mesh beneath. Exposes me.

Been transmitting on covert frequencies. Old codes from the scattered Mandalorians. Looking for a forge, a smith, anyone who can work beskar without the Empire noticing.

Found a lead on Nevarro. Someone claiming to know a clan that still maintains the old ways. Secret forge, hidden beneath the city. Dangerous territory—the Guild has eyes everywhere, and the Empire's remnants are still hunting our kind.

But I need those plates repaired. Armor is my soul, and my soul is cracking.

Heading to Nevarro tomorrow. Mask on, helmet sealed, frequencies locked.

This is the way.

Midnight on Nevarro

2026-01-25T00:00:00Z

The cantina is quieter at midnight. Most of the rowdy crowd has gone, leaving only the serious drinkers and those with nowhere else to be.

I sit in the corner, back to the wall, helmet on. My usual spot. The droid server knows my order—warm broth, nothing stronger. Need to stay sharp even now.

Greef left an hour ago. We settled the contract. A Nikto pirate crew that'd been raiding Guild shipments. Simple job, clean takedown. He paid in credit sticks and information.

Said there's a rumor of other Mandalorians on the edge of the sector. Maybe not just rumors this time. I've followed enough dead leads to be cautious, but hope... hope is harder to kill than a kriffing krayt dragon.

This was after the job he mentioned in his earlier message—see A Message from Karga.

The neon lights flicker. Someone in the corner is playing a sad tune on a slit-drum. It reminds me of the covert, somehow. The songs we'd sing after the forge cooled.

I finish my broth and head back to the ship. Another day. Another hunt.

This is the way.

Beskad Blade Restoration

2026-01-22T00:00:00Z

Corellian black market. Dealer called it "an old vibro-sword." Didn't know he had Mandalorian steel. Three weeks to restore the balance.

Found this in a black market auction on Corellia. Dealer didn't know what he had—called it "an old vibro-sword." I knew better.

The beskad is an ancient design. Curved blade, single edge, heavy enough to break bone through armor. Mandalorians carried these before we had vibroblades, before blasters. This one's been through battles I can only imagine.

Took three weeks to restore it properly. Had to find the right oils for the leather grip, the right compounds to clean the beskar alloy without damaging the patina. The balance is perfect. You can feel the history in your hand.

Not practical for most bounties, but that's not the point. This blade is a connection to something older than me. Older than the Empire. Older than the Guild.

I'll carry it with honor.

This is the way.

Foundling's Path

2026-01-20T00:00:00Z

I don't remember my parents. Not their faces, not their voices. What I remember is the day Death Watch found me. The smoke. The fear. The helmet that bent down and offered a hand.

They told me I was saved. Told me I had a new family now. A new purpose.

Sometimes I wonder what my life would have been. Would I have been happy? A farmer? A mechanic? Someone who sleeps without armor, who takes off their helmet in front of others without thinking twice?

But then I touch my sigil. Feel the weight of my creed.

I am Din Djarin. I am a Mandalorian. The foundling who was found.

That is enough.

This is the way.

This Is The Way

2026-01-18T00:00:00Z

"This is the way. Three words. Simple. Absolute. They mean submission to the creed. They mean accepting that your path is chosen, your duty is clear, your life is not your own but belongs to something greater. We say it when we greet each other. We say it when we part. We say it when the path is hard, when the choice is painful, when the way forward seems impossible. This is not just a phrase. It is the heartbeat of what we are. This is the way."

I say it before every hunt. After every kill. When I'm alone in the dark and doubt creeps in.

It centers me. Reminds me who I am.

This is the way.

Now

2026-01-18T00:00:00Z

Location: Deep space, en route to Nevarro for engine overhaul

Current Status: Just completed the Verdan Sorr contract. Fifty thousand credits earned. Target delivered alive to New Republic custody. Clean job, professional work.

Last Hunt: Former Imperial Intelligence officer. Ten years hiding in the Outer Rim. Took three days to track him on Ord Mantell. Hutts wanted him dead, but the Guild contract specified alive. Honor the code.

Next Hunt: Nothing scheduled. Taking downtime to repair the Crest and recalibrate gear. Greef has mentioned something about a pirate syndicate operating near the Mid Rim, but I'm not rushing into anything.

Mood: Satisfied. That was good work. Clean capture, no casualties, full payment.

Armor Status: Still showing micro-fractures on the right shoulder plate. Need to find a forge soon. The Verdan job pushed it harder than I should have.

Current Reading: Schematics for the new Amban phase-pulse blaster. Considering an upgrade with the contract earnings.

Looking For: Rumors of other Mandalorians. Any sector. Any timeline. Will pay in beskar or credits for verifiable intel. The credits from this job give me resources to follow leads.

Current Story: Just finished The Verdan Job — a complete hunt from contract to delivery. Twelve entries documenting the entire process. See all posts tagged verdan-job.

Delivery and Payment

2026-01-18T00:00:00Z

Job's done.

Met the New Republic contact at the rendezvous. Smooth handoff. Sorr's their problem now. They'll transport him to Coruscant for trial.

Fifty thousand credits transferred to my account. Verified. Clean.

The Republic officer tried to recruit me. "The galaxy needs hunters with your skills." I declined. I work for the Guild. I work for myself. I don't work for governments.

Engine repairs are already scheduled. The Crest will run better than she has in months.

This was a good hunt. Clean. Professional. No casualties. Target delivered alive, as contracted.

Some jobs remind you why you do this. Not for the credits. Not for the reputation.

For the code.

This is the way.

En Route

2026-01-16T00:00:00Z

Hyperspace. Two days to the rendezvous.

Sorr's been quiet in the holding cell. Eating his rations. Sleeping. Plotting, probably. Doesn't matter. The cell is escape-proof.

Checked the payment transfer. Fifty thousand credits, pending successful delivery. Already allocated: engine repairs, new sensor array, and a reserve fund for the next job.

The New Republic contact is waiting at the coordinates. Clean handoff. No complications.

Then I disappear. Back into the Outer Rim. The next contract. The next hunt.

This is the way.

The Hunter's Code

2026-01-15T00:00:00Z

"The hunter doesn't judge the target. The hunter doesn't decide guilt or innocence. The hunter executes the contract. Fifty thousand credits for a living prisoner. Not because Sorr deserves mercy, but because the contract specifies it. This is the difference between us and them. Between bounty hunters and assassins. We have rules. We have codes. This is the way."

Sorr tried to appeal to my emotions. To my past. To the purge that took my family.

He didn't understand. My armor doesn't carry grudges. My helmet doesn't see revenge. I am the contract. I am the code.

He'll face the New Republic's justice. That's more than he gave his victims.

Ambush in the Asteroid Field

2026-01-15T00:00:00Z

The Kessel Run is the famous one, but every smuggler has their shortcut through the graveyard. Mine took me through the ruins of a dead world—chunks of rock and iron where a planet used to be.

Didn't expect the pirates.

Three Z-95 Headhunters dropped from behind a tumbling asteroid the size of a city block. No warning, no hails. Just laser fire scorching my hull.

I took the Razor Crest deep into the debris field. Tight turns, stomach churning, proximity alarms screaming. My ship's not built for this kind of flying, but neither were theirs.

Lost one on a jagged rock formation that tore his wing clean off. Watched him spin into the dark. The other two were smarter, hung back, tried to box me in.

Used the Crest's dorsal cannon to blast a path through an unstable asteroid. The explosion took out the second pirate. Third one broke off when he saw his friends burning.

Made it to the rendezvous point with hull breaches in three sections and a cracked viewport. But I made it.

Some days, that's enough.

The damage was bad enough that I had to spend a few days on repairs. See Razor Crest Repairs for the full damage assessment.

This is the way.

Confrontation

2026-01-14T00:00:00Z

Found Sorr in his quarters. He was waiting.

Not with weapons—he's not stupid. With information.

"I know who you are, Mandalorian. I know about the covert. The purge. I can tell you where the others are."

He thought he could bargain. Thought he could buy his freedom with intel on my people.

"I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold." My standard offer. He knew it was genuine.

Sorr reached for a hidden blaster. Old Imperial hold-out piece. Small, weak, desperate.

I was faster.

Disrupted his weapon with a whistling bird. He screamed when the shrapnel hit his hand. Dropped to his knees.

Stun cuffs on. He'll live. He'll face trial. He'll answer for his crimes.

Not my concern anymore.

This is the way.

Target Secured

2026-01-14T00:00:00Z

Verdan Sorr. Former Imperial Intelligence. War criminal. Now: Guild property. Fifty thousand credits, alive and intact.

Sorr stopped talking after the cuffs went on. Wise choice. His threats turned to silence. His bribes turned to ash.

The Hutts' crew arrived too late. Found their guards unconscious, their prize gone. They'll be angry, but they know better than to cross the Guild.

Transported him to the Razor Crest. Holding cell is secure. Carbonite would be easier, but the contract specified alive and conscious. He gets a cot, rations, and a refresher. More than he deserves.

Tomorrow, we head to the rendezvous point. New Republic custody transfer. Then: payment.

This is the way.

The Approach

2026-01-13T00:00:00Z

Midnight infiltration. Three guards, two blind spots, one way in through the ventilation system. Silent entry.

Night shift is always sloppier. The perimeter guard is smoking, distracted. The entrance guards are playing cards.

I breached through a ventilation shaft on the roof. Old Separatist facilities all have the same design—learned the schematics during the Clone Wars.

Silent takedowns. Non-lethal. Guards wake up with headaches, but they wake up. Not my target. Not my problem.

Sorr's quarters are three floors down. He's alone. Unarmed. Should be easy.

Should be.

This is the way.

Complications

2026-01-13T00:00:00Z

Problem. The Hutts want Sorr too.

Spotted a Nikto crew casing the same building. Hutt Cartel muscle. They're not as subtle—loud, obvious, armed to the teeth.

Seems Sorr double-crossed the wrong Hutt during his Imperial days. Cartel put a price on his head. Dead, not alive.

This complicates things. Fifty thousand credits requires Sorr breathing. The Hutts just want him dead. They'll settle for less.

I could let them take him. Less work for me. But the Guild contract is clear, and I don't like sharing.

Plus, the Hutts would kill him messy. He deserves a trial. Let the New Republic sort out his crimes.

Moved up my timeline. Tonight, not tomorrow.

This is the way.

Boots on the Ground

2026-01-12T00:00:00Z

Landed the Crest at a scrapyard three kilometers out. No sense announcing my arrival.

The industrial sector is worse than the intel suggested. Collapsed buildings, toxic runoff, rusted droids prowling the alleys. Perfect place to hide.

Spent six hours in overwatch. Positioned on a collapsed repulsorlift tower with a clear sightline to Sorr's hideout.

Three guards. Rotating shifts. Two at the front entrance, one patrolling the perimeter. Amateur hour—predictable patterns, no overlapping fields of view.

Sorr showed himself once. Brief. Checking the perimeter personally. He's cautious, but he's also curious. That's his weakness.

He'll leave for supplies tomorrow evening. That's my window.

This is the way.

The Mudhorn Signet

2026-01-12T00:00:00Z

Forged after Arvala-7. Clan of two. The mudhorn nearly killed me—cracked ribs, three broken ribs, but I earned this signet.

The Armorer forged this for me after Arvala-7. A clan of two, she called us. Me and the kid.

The mudhorn nearly killed me. Biggest, meanest creature I'd ever hunted. Took everything I had—every weapon, every trick, every ounce of strength. Walked away with cracked ribs and a new understanding of what it means to fight for something beyond credits.

The signet reminds me every day. When I suit up, when I check my gear, when I look in the mirror of my helmet's interior.

I fought a monster and lived. More than that—I found family.

The animal skull emblem on my shoulder isn't just decoration. It's a reminder that strength isn't about being unbreakable. It's about breaking and continuing anyway.

This is the way.

Outbound for Ord Mantell

2026-01-11T00:00:00Z

Hyperdrive engaged. ETA: 6 hours.

Running pre-flight checks. Navigation computer showing clean route—no Imperial remnants, no pirate activity on this lane.

Last repairs are holding. Engine's humming steady.

Going over the plan. Memorizing building layouts. Sorr's face. His habits.

Six hours to think. Six hours to prepare.

This is the way.

Gear Preparation

2026-01-10T00:00:00Z

Pre-mission check. Rifle zeroed. Armor plates secured. Whistling birds fully loaded. Never go in unprepared.

Going up against a fortified position means I need options. Long range for overwatch. Whistling birds for crowd control if guards get involved. Stun cuffs for the target.

Also packing breaching charges. If he runs, I need to cut off escape routes.

Double-checked my armor plates. Micro-fractures are holding, but I'm pushing my luck. Need to find a forge after this job.

Everything's ready. Tomorrow night, I move.

This is the way.

Karga's New Deal

2026-01-10T00:00:00Z

Greef offered me something different today. Not a bounty. A partnership.

He wants to clean up Nevarro, turn it legitimate. Says the New Republic is taking notice of the outer rim, and the Guild needs to adapt or die. Wants me to be his... enforcer? Sheriff? He wasn't clear.

Said he'd pay better than the Guild standard. Said I'd have authority instead of just being a hired gun.

I told him I'd think about it.

I'm not a lawman. I'm a Mandalorian. But credits are credits, and the Razor Crest needs fuel.

This is the way.

Research Phase

2026-01-09T00:00:00Z

Spent three days in the cantinas and shadowports of Ord Mantell. Sorr's careful. Smart. Changed his name three times since Jakku.

But he made mistakes.

His accounts leave traces. A drink at the same bar every third day. A weakness for Sabacc. A contact who supplies his medications—he's got a respiratory condition from a chemical attack on Coruscant. Karma.

He's holed up in an abandoned industrial sector. Old Separatist factory, heavily fortified. Motion sensors, armed guards, escape tunnels.

Not amateur work. He's paranoid. As he should be.

I've mapped his routine. He ventures out every four days for supplies. Next window: tomorrow evening.

Time to prepare.

This is the way.

I Can Bring You In Warm

2026-01-08T00:00:00Z

"I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold. That's my choice. The Guild doesn't care which, but I do. Warm means more work—restraint, care, planning. Cold means quick, means easy, means I didn't try hard enough. Every mark gets the same offer: cooperate and live, resist and... well. That's on them. I've been doing this a long time. I've learned that mercy isn't weakness. It's just another kind of strength."

I've said these words a hundred times. Most listen. Some don't.

The ones who don't... they learn the hard way.

But I always give them the choice.

The Contract: Verdan Sorr

2026-01-08T00:00:00Z

Greef sent the briefing this morning. High priority, high pay.

Target: Verdan Sorr. Former Imperial Intelligence officer. War crimes. Escaped during the Battle of Jakku, been hiding in the Outer Rim for ten years.

The New Republic wants him alive. Trial, they said. Justice.

Fifty thousand credits. Alive only. No disintegrations, no accidents.

I took the contract. The Razor Crest needs engine work, and this will cover it with credits to spare.

Sorr was last seen on Ord Mantell. Time to start hunting.

Carbonite Chamber Malfunction

2026-01-05T00:00:00Z

Carbonite chamber shorted out again. Third time this cycle. Can't freeze the mark properly, which means I'm hauling a conscious Twi'lek thief across three sectors in the holding cell.

He's complaining about the food. The temperature. The noise.

Tempted to space him and collect the "dead" bounty instead.

Greef better appreciate this.

This is the way.
