After Action Report

2026-02-16T00:00:00Z

Six blaster hits. Two vibroblade strikes. One near-miss with thermal detonator shrapnel. Armor held. I held.

The Verdan job was rougher than expected. Hutts sent enforcers after I secured the target. Four-to-one odds.

Chest plate stopped two bolts at center mass. Would have been dead without it. Shoulder pauldron deflected a third. The rest missed or hit non-critical sections.

Field repairs won't fix this. Need a proper forge. Need the Armorer, or someone like her.

The beskar did its job. Now I need to do mine—restore it, honor it, prepare it for the next fight.

Because there will be a next fight. There always is.

This is the way.

Black Market Beskar

2026-02-14T00:00:00Z

Found a dealer on Tatooine selling "authentic Mandalorian scrap." Usually means painted durasteel and lies.

But this... this was real.

Small ingot, maybe two kilos. Pre-Imperial stamp. He wanted ten thousand credits. I offered five and a threat.

Paid six. Fair price for both of us.

The grade is good. Not perfect, but workable. Can patch the damaged sections on my left greaves and have enough left for emergency repairs.

Question is: where did he get it? Real beskar doesn't just appear. Someone died for this metal. Someone's armor was stripped.

I didn't ask. Sometimes the answers are heavier than the questions.

Will take it to a forge when I find one. Make it part of me. Honor the metal. Honor the fallen.

Donning the Armor

2026-02-12T00:00:00Z

Every morning, the same sequence. Not habit—ritual. The Way demands intention.

Mesh undersuit first. Temperature regulation, impact dispersion. Then the chest plate. It clicks into place with a sound that means "I am protected."

Gauntlets next. Left, then right. Check the whistling bird launchers. Test the grapple line. Weapons are part of my religion, and these are my church.

Greaves. Knee pads. Mobility is survival.

Pauldrons—the signet goes on the right. Always the right. The clan of two. Me and the kid.

Helmet last. The seal pressurizes. The HUD boots up. The world becomes filtered, safe, distant.

I become Mandalorian.

She taught me that the armor is my soul. She was right. Without it, I'm just a man. With it, I'm the Way.

Fifteen minutes every morning. Fifteen minutes of becoming.

This is the way.

Emergency Seal

2026-02-10T00:00:00Z

Re-entry into asteroid field debris. Seal breach. Three minutes to patch or suffocate.

The helmet is the most sacred piece. Remove it, and you remove yourself. But damage it, and you compromise everything.

Micro-meteorite took a chunk out of the visor seal. Atmospheric venting. Had to emergency seal with temporary beskar mesh and pray the bond held.

It held.

The helmet saved my life. Again. The beskar knew its duty even when I thought all was lost.

Now it bears a scar. Another story. Another reminder that the armor protects, but it also survives. Like us. Like the Way.

This is the way.

Beskar Grades

2026-02-08T00:00:00Z

Not all beskar is the same. I've learned this from handling enough of it.

Pre-Imperial beskar—the stuff from Purge collections—is the purest. No Imperial refining markers, no alloy compromises. Heavy, dense, almost black in shadow. The Armorer's favorite.

Imperial-era beskar is different. They mixed it with lesser metals to stretch supplies. Still good—better than durasteel—but lacks the purity. Lighter, brittle under sustained fire. You can spot it by the slightly silver sheen.

Modern beskar, what little exists, is reclaimed. Melted down from damaged armor, re-forged by surviving smiths. Each piece carries the history of its previous owner. Respect the metal. Remember where it came from.

My current set is mostly pre-Imperial. Some plates are reclaimed. The helmet is original—my first, from the covert, from the foundling who became me.

The grade matters. The history matters more.

This is the way.

Field Repair

2026-02-06T00:00:00Z

Left vambrace took a vibroblade hit on the last job. Not deep—just enough to score the beskar surface and compromise the seal on my grapple line launcher.

Can't reach a forge. Have to patch it myself.

Using beskar dust mixed with binding resin. Temporary fix. Will hold for maybe two weeks of combat. Then I need proper re-forging.

The weight of temporary repairs. Constant maintenance. Constant vigilance.

That's the life.

This is the way.

Found: An Ancient Beskar Ingot

2026-02-04T00:00:00Z

![A weathered sci-fi warrior helmet resting on a workbench next to a gleaming silver metal ingot, warm forge lighting, detailed metallic textures, cinematic lighting, science fiction concept art style]

Salvage job on Trask. Imperial freighter wreck, decades old. Found pure beskar in the hold—stamp confirms Purge confiscation. Heavy in my hands. Real.

Took a salvage job on the moon of Trask. Client wanted scrap metal from an old Imperial freighter that crashed in the war. Standard work, nothing worth remembering.

Except I found this in the cargo hold.

Pure beskar. Imperial stamp on the side—confiscated during the Great Purge. Must have been sitting in that wreck for decades, waiting.

The Armorer could forge this into shoulder plates. Or maybe a new signet if I ever earn one. It's heavy in my hands. Solid. Real.

Can't tell you what finding this felt like. Like finding a piece of home you thought was gone forever.

This is the way.

Armor Breakdown

2026-02-02T00:00:00Z

Helmet, chest, shoulders, arms, legs. Each piece forged separately. Each piece earned. Together, they make me Mandalorian.

The helmet came first. Basic training, basic protection. Took it off once, when I was young and stupid. Never again.

Chest plate stopped a blaster bolt on Ord Mantell. Left a scorch mark I keep as a reminder.

Shoulder plates—one bears my signet, the other is scarred from asteroid debris.

Gauntlets house the whistling birds. Weapons are part of my religion, and these are my hymn.

Greaves have taken the most damage. Kicks, falls, shrapnel. They keep me standing when I should fall.

Every piece has a story. Every dent is a lesson. The beskar doesn't just protect—it remembers.

This is the way.

The Weight of Beskar

2026-01-29T00:00:00Z

"People see the armor and think it's protection. They don't understand that it's a burden. Every plate is a promise. Every piece is a debt paid by those who came before us. The beskar in my shoulder plates came from Mandalore itself—ore mined by my ancestors, forged in fires that have long since gone cold. When I wear this, I carry them with me. Their sacrifice. Their hope. Their Way. The weight isn't in the metal. It's in what the metal means."

I tell foundlings this when they ask about the armor. They see the signets, the shine of polished beskar, and they think it's glory.

It's not glory. It's duty. It's survival. It's the only thing standing between us and extinction.

Every dent is a lesson. Every scratch is a memory. The beskar remembers, even when we wish to forget.

This is the way.

Seeking a Forge

2026-01-27T00:00:00Z

The micro-fractures are spreading. Right shoulder plate took too much strain during the Verdan job. Hairline cracks webbing across the beskar alloy like lightning frozen in metal.

Can't ignore it anymore. In combat, those cracks become failure points. One well-placed shot and the plate shatters. Exposes the mesh beneath. Exposes me.

Been transmitting on covert frequencies. Old codes from the scattered Mandalorians. Looking for a forge, a smith, anyone who can work beskar without the Empire noticing.

Found a lead on Nevarro. Someone claiming to know a clan that still maintains the old ways. Secret forge, hidden beneath the city. Dangerous territory—the Guild has eyes everywhere, and the Empire's remnants are still hunting our kind.

But I need those plates repaired. Armor is my soul, and my soul is cracking.

Heading to Nevarro tomorrow. Mask on, helmet sealed, frequencies locked.

This is the way.
