enforcers after I secured the target. Four-to-one odds.</p>
<p>Chest plate stopped two bolts at center mass. Would have been dead without it.
Shoulder pauldron deflected a third. The rest missed or hit non-critical
sections.</p>

Armorer, or someone like her.</p>
<p>The beskar did its job. Now I need to do mine—restore it, honor it, prepare it
for the next fight.</p>
<p>Because there will be a next fight. There always is.</p>

<p>The helmet is the most sacred piece. Remove it, and you remove yourself. But
damage it, and you compromise everything.</p>
<p>Micro-meteorite took a chunk out of the visor seal. Atmospheric venting. Had
to emergency seal with temporary beskar mesh and pray the bond held.</p>
<p>It held.</p>
<p>The helmet saved my life. Again. The beskar knew its duty even when I thought
all was lost.</p>
<p>Now it bears a scar. Another story. Another reminder that the armor protects,
but it also survives. Like us. Like the Way.</p>
