Black Market Beskar

Found a dealer on Tatooine selling "authentic Mandalorian scrap." Usually means painted durasteel and lies.

But this... this was real.

Small ingot, maybe two kilos. Pre-Imperial stamp. He wanted ten thousand credits. I offered five and a threat.

Paid six. Fair price for both of us.

The grade is good. Not perfect, but workable. Can patch the damaged sections on my left greaves and have enough left for emergency repairs.

Question is: where did he get it? Real beskar doesn't just appear. Someone died for this metal. Someone's armor was stripped.

I didn't ask. Sometimes the answers are heavier than the questions.

Will take it to a forge when I find one. Make it part of me. Honor the metal. Honor the fallen.

Amban Phase-Pulse Rifle

Finally replaced my old carbine. This Amban hits harder, shoots farther, and disintegrates on contact. Expensive, but worth every credit.

Found it through a contact in the Corellian arms trade. Serial numbers filed off—standard for grey market hardware. Took it to the range on Ord Mantell to zero the scope.

Dead accurate at 300 meters. The disintegration setting leaves no evidence, which clients appreciate when they want a clean disappearance.

Not my preferred method. I like to give them the choice—warm or cold. But some marks don't deserve the option.

Armor Breakdown

Helmet, chest, shoulders, arms, legs. Each piece forged separately. Each piece earned. Together, they make me Mandalorian.

The helmet came first. Basic training, basic protection. Took it off once, when I was young and stupid. Never again.

Chest plate stopped a blaster bolt on Ord Mantell. Left a scorch mark I keep as a reminder.

Shoulder plates—one bears my signet, the other is scarred from asteroid debris.

Gauntlets house the whistling birds. Weapons are part of my religion, and these are my hymn.

Greaves have taken the most damage. Kicks, falls, shrapnel. They keep me standing when I should fall.

Every piece has a story. Every dent is a lesson. The beskar doesn't just protect—it remembers.

Gear Preparation

Pre-mission check. Rifle zeroed. Armor plates secured. Whistling birds fully loaded. Never go in unprepared.

Going up against a fortified position means I need options. Long range for overwatch. Whistling birds for crowd control if guards get involved. Stun cuffs for the target.

Also packing breaching charges. If he runs, I need to cut off escape routes.

Double-checked my armor plates. Micro-fractures are holding, but I'm pushing my luck. Need to find a forge after this job.

Everything's ready. Tomorrow night, I move.
